Santiago files- Allende suicide

Santiago files is a documentary made and produced by Cetywa Powell in 2011. It tells the story of the Chili coup of 11 sept 1973, in particular how the CIA and the US government actively participated to the elimination of Allende and the arrival of Pinochet. I had to make 2 storyboards, that would be later on animated because footages of these sequences were not available. This storyboard described suicide of Salvador Allende in the Moneda palace, on sept 11 1973. Images of archives were available on the coup, mostly surroundings of the palace that day, and also pictures inside the moneda before and after Allende’s death but we had to imagine the Allende suicide based on written testimonies. Like Gal Schneider assassination sequence, this one had been animated later on a placed in the movie.
